Let Him Out
A downloadable Story-Puzzle Game for Windows
*REVISED VERSION NOW AVAILABLE*
Let Him Out is a small puzzle story game where you play as C141705-8 as he wanders a dreamscape to accept the past. Explore two very different settings, collecting documents, talking to holograms, and solving puzzles in order for 705-8 to pay his respects to the person he remembers taking the life of.
Use WASD to move about the rooms, and and your mouse to interact with the world. Press E to view the documents you collect along the way. Due to godot's mode mode options, you can use the left Shift button to switch between a moving camera and a interactible mouse icon.
Initial Version:
This was my first project to make heavy use of Blender, and my first attempt at Godot's 3D capabilities. Sounds recorded then editied in Audacity.
This project was made for a class assignment, with restrictions of 3D Game, single level, and all assests created by ourselves. This faced many technical difficulties, and did not result in a completed game.
New Version:
The new version of Let Him Out features additional rooms, new pieces of the narrative, and more than one puzzle to get to the end. This was created in 4 weeks for the final project for the same class, with the requirements of a blended 2D/3D environment, the thematic or actual use of cards, and randomization (which here is used for the locations of documents, and some puzzles).
This project was created in Godot 4.2, a game engine under the MIT License: https://godotengine.org/license/
Components for this game were made within Blender, FireAlpaca, and Audacity.
This project also makes use of free assets from numerous creators:
